Today, I was watching luthier (=guitar/instrument building) again on YouTube, and by accident I found the phenomenon of "cigarbox" guitars. There's a whole bunch of folks out there building homemade guitars out of cigar boxes, biscuit tins, and what have you; most of them with 4 strings, some with resonators, some with pickups.
One of these builders is a 14 year old lad from York, United Kingdom, who goes by the name of RedShaw. He has a steady gig at a local pub, and he met Seasick Steve! Awesome! He built about half a dozen homemade instruments, and collected a whole bunch of guitars as well. He mainly plays delta blues, and I think it sounds very authentic.
