“Please remind the vice president that these people are from the Netherlands and not the Nether Regions.” This Dutch duo plays it straight, keeps it real, and does it well. They mix elements of all styles of Americana with the same badass attitude many bands in Australia and Europe seem to be doing. ThickShag & Marty’s flavor of, however, seems to be a lot fresher and more good-humored and ‘down-home’ than most. They mix some of my favorite instruments (mandolin, harmonica, lapsteel, gee-tars, etc.) in neat ways. Drink a Grolsch, listen, and enjoy!
